Cheese curry recipe ( Paneer curry recipe)

Today we will make a mouthwatering recipe that is Paneer curry recipe.

Paneer curry recipe:
Cooking time : 45 minutes
Servings: 4-5 persons
Utensils used:
    1 pot 
    1 frypan
    1 ladle
    1 teaspoon 
    1 tablespoon 
Ingredients:
  1. Cheese ( Paneer ) : 500 gm
  2. Mustard oil or refined oil: 2 ladles
  3. Curd : 2 ladles or 1/2 bowl
  4. Big cardamom : 1
  5. Green  cardamom : 2
  6. Cloves : 2
  7. Indian bay leaf ( tej patta) : 1
  8. Dry red chillies ( sukhi lal mirch): 2
  9. Cumin seeds : 1/2 tablespoon 
  10. Green chillies: 2 finely chopped 
  11. Ginger: 1 tablespoon finely chopped or paste 
  12. Ginger julienne: 1 tablespoon 
  13. Garlic: 8 pieces finely chopped or paste 
  14. Onions: 2 medium size finely chopped or paste 
  15. Coriander powder : 1 tablespoon 
  16. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  17. Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  18. Black pepper powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  19. Kashmiri red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  20. Tomatoes: 2 finely chopped or paste or puree 
  21. Salt: according to your taste 
  22. Garam masala powder: 1/2 tablespoon 
  23. Fresh coriander : 1 tablespoon finely chopped 

Procedure: 
  • Cut paneer into 2 cm pieces. Pour  2 ladles of mustard oil in frypan . When oil becomes hot,  add and paneer pieces and salt to taste  in it for just one minute .Take out paneer pieces.  Now, we will make masala,  in same oil  , add 1 tej patta,  1 big cardamom,  2 green cardamoms , 2 cloves,  2 dry red chillies,  1/2 tablespoons cumin seeds,  8 pieces garlic finely chopped , 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger,  2 finely chopped onions.Saute for 7-8 minutes and be careful that masala not get sticky. You can use 1-2 tablespoons of water to avoid it. 
  • When onions become translucent,  add 1 tablespoon coriander powder,  1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri lal mirch powder,  1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder,  1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. After 1 minute,whisk 2 ladles of curd and add this curd at low flame and quickly stir.After 2 minutes add 2 finely chopped tomatoes,  add 2 finely chopped green chillies and add salt according to your taste.  
  • Saute  for 10 minutes , cover with lid and in between check after 2-3 minutes to ensure masala is not get sticky.If that happens add 1-2 tablespoons of water. When oil separates from masala, add paneer pieces and cook on low medium flame for 10-15 minutes. So, paneer curry recipe is ready.  Add 1/2 tablespoons garam masala powder,  add 1 finely chopped green chilli,  add 1 tablespoon ginger julienne and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of fresh coriander for garnishing. Paneer recipe is ready to serve.
