Kadhi pakora recipe

Today we will make a extremely delicious recipe that is Kadhi pakora recipe.

Kadhi pakora recipe : 
Cooking time: 1 hour 
Servings: 5-6 persons 
Utensils used:
    1 pot 
    1 Karahi 
    2 ladles
    1 tablespoon 
    1 teaspoon 
Ingredients:
Ingredients for pakora :
  1. Gram flour ( besan) : 1 bowl or 4 ladles
  2. Mustard oil or refined oil: 1/2 litres for deep frying 
  3. Ghee or butter : 1 tablespoon 
  4. Curd : 2 tablespoons
  5. Onion : 1 small or medium size finely chopped 
  6. Ginger : 1 tablespoon finely chopped 
  7. Green chilli: 1 finely chopped 
  8. Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  9. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  10. Salt : according to your taste 
Ingredients for kadhi : 
  1. Gram flour ( besan ) : 1 bowl or 4 ladles 
  2. Curd : 400 gm 
  3. Mustard oil or refined oil: 2 ladles 
  4. Red chilli powder : 1/2 teaspoon 
  5. Black pepper powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  6. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon 
  7. Salt : according to your taste 
  8. Big cardamom: 1
  9. Green cardamom: 2
  10. Indian bay leaf ( tej patta) : 1
  11. Black peppers : 8 
  12. Dry red chilli : 4 
  13. Green chilli: 2
  14. Asafetida ( hing) : 1 pinch
  15. Cumin seeds: 1/2 tablespoon 
  16. Onion : 3 chopped in long and thin size.
  17. Garlic: 8 pieces finely chopped or paste 
  18. Ginger : 1 tablespoon finely chopped or paste 
  19. Coriander powder: 1 tablespoons 
  20. Garam masala powder: 1/2 tablespoon
  21. Dry fenugreek leaves ( kasuri methi) : 1 tablespoon 
  22. Fresh coriander: 1 tablespoon finely chopped 

Procedure: 
Procedure for pakora : 
  • Firstly we will make mixture for pakora. Put 1 bowl or 4 ladles of Besan in a utensil. Add red chilli powder, salt  and  turmeric powder and mix it well.Then add finely chopped onion, finely chopped ginger, 1 finely chopped green chilli,  1 tablespoon ghee or butter and 2 tablespoons curd . Mix well and add water to make this mixture a loosly-thick batter to make pakoras. 
  • Now, In frypan pour 1/2 litre mustard oil or refined oil  on medium flame . With spoon or hand put pakora mixture in fry pan to make 10-12 pakoras of nearly of size 3 cm each pakora . Deep fry all pakoras on low-medium flame for 5-6 minutes and then change side of each pakora to fry again for 5-6 minutes. Take out pakoras. Then turn gas to high flame and then again put all pakoras in oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes until pakoras become golden brown. 

Procedure  for kadhi : 
  • To make kadhi, take 1 cup or 4 ladles besan.Add red chilli powder,  turmeric powder and salt .Mix it. Add 400 gm curd and mix well. Then add 1 litre water and mix well with spoon or ladle or whisker or you can use mixer also.Mix it well.
  • Now, we will make masala , pour 2 ladles of mustard oil or refined oil in a big pot or big Karahi.Add 1 pinch of hing, 1 big cardamom,  2 green cardamoms, 1 tej patta,  8 black peppers, 2 dry red chillies. 2 finely chopped green chillies, 8 pieces finely chopped garlic,  1 tablespoon finely chopped  ginger, 3 long and thin stripes chopped onions. Saute for 5 minutes on medium flame and cover lid to cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes.When onions become translucent,  pour liquid mixture of besan into it.
  • Add 2 litres more water.  Cook for 40 minutes on high flame. After cooking  , quantity of this recipe should minimize to nearly half. Now, add pakoras to this kadhi and cook for 15 minutes. Now, recipe is ready. Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder,  2 finely chopped green chillies and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of fresh finely chopped fresh coriander for garnishing.Kadhi pakora recipe is ready to serve.
